Anne Hassfeld, a resident at 14616 Glendale Street, told the council her home is “right behind south of Unmapped Brewery” and raised two concerns: late neighborhood notice (she received the city’s notice on a Friday) and uncertainty about the loudness and duration of a planned outdoor broadcast of a Twins game on Sept. 6.
Miss Wyschnick, planning staff, summarized the permit requests and staff review, noting that Unmapped typically secures additional parking on nearby properties and that staff had not received prior complaints about parking or traffic for these events. Wyschnick told the council staff had reviewed the events with the police department and “we don't have any concerns.”
An Unmapped Brewing representative, speaking for the applicant, described the September event as a viewing party and said the screen and speakers used for the broadcast are “very directional.” The representative told the council, “I can promise you, you will not hear any of the noise from the September 6 event.” He also said the October 11 event will include live music but that the business “always try[s] to wrap it up at 09:30 at the latest,” even though the permit runs until 10 p.m.

The motion passed on a unanimous roll call vote.
Post‑hearing comments from the applicant and council included a description of the Gladden Farms event format (on‑site hop picking, tent and parking-lot overflow, giveaways) and the applicant’s apology for the delayed neighborhood mailing in this first year under new ownership. The council did not attach special conditions to the license at the meeting.
