Hardin County fiscal court adopts budget amendment to fund ambulances, library and vehicles

Hardin County Fiscal Court adopted Ordinance No. 344-1 (series 2025) on Aug. 12, approving a FY25–26 budget amendment that includes $1,300,000 for ambulances, $264,000 in previously unspent library funds and roughly $130,000 for other county vehicles.
Judge Executive Keith Tull presented the ordinance at the court’s second reading and said the amendment primarily funds ambulances and makes several vehicle- and library-related adjustments to the fiscal year budget.
A motion to approve the ordinance was made and seconded and the court took a roll call vote. The roll call recorded affirmative votes from all present magistrates and the judge executive; the motion passed.
The ordinance was presented as the second reading and adoption; no amendments were proposed during the Aug. 12 meeting. The court did not provide additional line-item detail beyond the totals presented at the second reading.
