Consultants hired by the Lower Moreland Township School District presented a conceptual design and phased budget options on Aug. 5 for improvements at the Murray Avenue stadium site, including a synthetic turf option, a new field house with locker rooms and restrooms, expanded grandstands, a raised ADA-access promenade, and stadium lighting.
The presentation, led by Tim Guider of ICS with team members Michael Rourke (GKO Architects) and Zach Ranstead (T&M Associates), outlined a baseline “all-in” scenario at about $12,700,000 that would include synthetic turf, stadium lighting, press box, scoreboard, renovated grandstands and a field house and promenade. A grass-first option that prioritizes a field house and ADA access was estimated at roughly $8,300,000, and a three-phase approach that spreads the synthetic-turf option across phases showed a total near $14.1 million after escalation in later phases.
