New Trinity Youth Center introduces programs for West York teens

Jennifer said the center’s current hours are 3 p.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with extended afternoon hours on early dismissal days and further extended hours in summer. She said they require parental registration and waivers and maintain sign‑out sheets. “We are basically a safe place for students to come and hang out… We target sixth through twelfth graders,” she told the board.
Board members thanked the speaker and asked whether the center would operate during summers; Jennifer confirmed they would maintain afternoon and evening hours in summer and that the program aims to increase volunteer and community involvement.
Jennifer left business cards and bracelets for board members and asked district staff to share contact details with families who might benefit. The board did not take any formal action on the presentation; it occurred during the public comment portion of the meeting.
