Tourism director reports 2026 event calendar, notes concert relocation and trunk-or-treat plans

Jordan Hewitt, Daggett County tourism director, told commissioners on Sept. 16 that a recent Tris Muncic concert was moved to an indoor venue because of weather and that the tourism office has published a draft events calendar for 2026.
Hewitt said the county used the Hub as an alternate venue to move the concert quickly after weather interfered with the outdoor event. The tourism director said staff are working to lock in dates for 2026 and believe the PRCA rodeo date is included on the calendar. Hewitt also noted the tourism office is planning a trunk-or-treat event on Oct. 31.
The remarks were part of routine tourism updates and did not involve commissioners taking formal action. Hewitt said staff have been coordinating with event organizers and partners to finalize dates and logistics for the coming year.
