County staff reported the Human Services relocation and renovation project is on schedule for July and remains within budget. The construction team has progressed on interior work including masonry and interior zone completion, and the project manager said exterior masonry veneers were being installed.
Staff scheduled a site tour for the committee and county board members for the 18th at 3 p.m. and said they are developing a detailed transition plan to move desks, files, business machines and computers from the old job center to the new human services space. Project staff described new furniture and desks for some areas, but noted that many business machines and computer equipment will move to the new facility; phased moving may require some staff to work remotely for a short window to complete the transition.
Committee members asked whether the project remains on time and on budget; staff replied it is still on schedule for a July target (the staff presenter used July as the delivery target) and remains within the current budget. Staff identified project leads coordinating logistics with IT and Human Services administration to minimize operational disruption.
