At the start of the meeting the committee approved a motion to amend the agenda so the applicant could present first. Committee member King moved to approve the agenda with committee member Rivera seconding; a roll call recorded unanimous support and the clerk announced, “motion carries all ayes.”
Later in the meeting the committee held nominations and elections for leadership. A nomination was made to elect Stefan Burchard (as recorded in the meeting transcript) as chair; the motion was moved by committee member King and seconded by committee member Kiefer. The clerk conducted a roll-call vote (King, Rivera, Kiefer and presiding Chair Bouchard each recorded “aye”), and the clerk announced the motion carried with all ayes. The committee then elected a vice chair following a nomination of Mitchell; committee member Kiefer moved and Chair Bouchard seconded the motion, which passed on a roll-call with all ayes.
The committee also approved the minutes of the July 16 meeting on a motion by committee member Kiefer and a second by committee member Rivera; Committee member King verbally recorded an “aye” and the clerk announced the motion carried, all ayes.
No public speakers were recorded for those administrative items. The clerk noted there were no speaker request forms for public comment during the administrative items. The meeting proceeded to substantive agenda items after completion of the procedural votes.
