Hopewell Valley board says referendum vote will wait for state eligibility letters; communications committee meets July 24

The Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education said it will wait to receive preliminary eligibility letters from the New Jersey Department of Education before bringing a final referendum question to the full board for a vote. Board members were told the letters should arrive within a day of the meeting and would determine the district’s next steps on the proposed bond referendum.

The board’s superintendent, Dr. Therese (identified in the meeting as the presenter of this update), said the district will move the regular August board meeting to Monday, Aug. 11, and will update the public if the meeting location changes.
