Clark County Schools reports budget surplus, proposes transfers and two supplemental appropriations

Steve Nucci, presenting the Finance Committee report, told the Clark County School Board on July 21 that revised fiscal-year figures show both reductions and unspent funds but an overall position that allows a return of funds to the county.
Nucci said the division's FY2025 revised budget began at $29.2 million. He told the board local revenue increased by about $64,000 (including $32,000 from higher dual-enrollment receipts and $22,000 in tuition for private services), while state funding was roughly $327,000 lower than expected, largely because average daily membership (ADM) was down. Federal Title grant revenue of about $85,000 will roll into FY2026 and therefore cannot be recognized as FY2025 revenue.
