Nicholas Callas, identified on the city’s regular "Bethel Park Minute" announcement, said the Bethel Park Farmers Market runs every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. on Corrigan Drive in South Park next to the ice rink. "You can go to bethparkpa.gov for more details," Callas said.
Callas also said the assistant wastewater treatment plant superintendent lab tech position has been posted on the city's website. He directed residents seeking more information or to apply to bethparkpa.gov.
On solid-waste scheduling, Callas said bulk-item pickup during the September collection week will be pushed back one day because of Labor Day and "will now run Tuesday, September 2 through Saturday, September 6." He also reminded residents that the monthly yard-waste drop-off occurs on the third Saturday of every month and that participants must show proof of Bethel Park residency. Callas said no dump trucks or trailers are allowed and that attendants will accept one car- or truckload of materials per person.
