Ben Sousa reported on zoning-board activity at the Sept. 15 meeting: the board tabled a rezoning application because members were not clear enough on the matter to decide. Sousa said the zoning board will revisit the application at its next meeting.
He said the board also discussed adding provisions for battery energy storage systems to the county code. Two of three zoning-board members attended; a new member has committed to attend future meetings.
Sousa presented a draft agreement for a survey reviewer (survey reviewer agreement) but said he had not finalized billing terms with the proposed reviewer; he asked commissioners to allow staff to upload the document to the shared file system and place the item on the next agenda after commissioners and staff have a chance to review the billing schedule.
Sousa reported the zoning board is nearly fully populated, with eight of nine seats filled and five required for quorum.
The commission asked staff to place the survey reviewer agreement on the agenda for the next meeting so members can review the contract and the billing schedule before taking action.
