Director of Technology Andrew said the district’s Windows‑10 to Windows‑11 migration is roughly 95–97% complete, with a handful of teacher laptops outstanding. He said new access points ordered through the E‑rate program arrived late and will be installed during off hours before the next meeting. Andrew noted aging equipment that may require capital investment in coming years — roughly 130 staff laptops may need replacement over two years, plus aging phone and public‑address systems.
Buildings and grounds staff reported that sidewalk repairs in Hubbardston and an HVAC project under a USDA grant are complete and that the district is working with National Grid on rebate processing. A state public hearing on a battery storage project is scheduled for Oct. 16 at the Bo Camp Center School.
Officials said the district’s fall athletics roster has more than 300 athletes, creating high demand for a single strength‑and‑conditioning coach and three rooms; administrators are discussing scheduling changes, use of the media center after school, and the possible addition of staff to better serve athletes.
On a separate facilities item, the district said donations previously raised for a press box will be used for materials while Pathfinder will supply labor, reducing overall cost; site work and engineering remain to be completed.
