The motion, read into the record by a committee member, specified: “I move to transfer $57,038 from 21 10‑3,200 regular education instruction support and $2,070 from 1,100‑14 35 district administration and legal to 41 10‑4,300 buildings and grounds to cover the FY '26 negotiated wage increases.” A committee member seconded the motion.
Administration explained the funds had been held in a contingency account during bargaining and needed to be moved into the appropriate building and grounds line following completion of negotiations. The superintendent and school business staff said the transfer does not change the district’s overall budget; it reallocates previously-budgeted contingency funds to the correct spending category.
The committee took a roll call vote. The following members were recorded as voting yes: Dave Deschamps; Mr. Bolanin; Miss Garvey; Miss Chamberlain; Miss Muck; Mr. Moncour; Mr. Wigler; Miss Thompson; Mr. Nutter; Miss LaRange; and Chairman Brophy. The motion passed.
