Chairperson Terry Bovona said, "So we only have 2 members present. So there's an absence of a quorum tonight." That lack of quorum limited the committee's authority to routine scheduling. Staff proposed scheduling the next meeting for Aug. 27 at 5:15 a.m.
A member moved to set the next meeting for Aug. 27; another member seconded. When the chair asked, "All in favor?" members present responded, "Aye." The committee then adjourned. The chair apologized for the inconvenience to members of the public.
Because fewer than a quorum of members were present, no substantive business, votes on policy, or committee decisions were taken during the session. Staff said it will reach out to other committee members to confirm availability for the proposed date.
