The Gatesville ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the district’s list of T-TESS/T-PESS certified appraisers, the staff who are authorized to conduct annual teacher and central-office appraisals under state evaluation frameworks.
The annual certification is a compliance item: the district presented a roster of campus principals, assistant principals and central-office staff who hold the appraisal certifications required to evaluate classroom teachers and other certificated employees. Trustees approved the list on a motion with a second and a voice vote; the transcript records no roll-call tally.
Why it matters: State evaluation systems require districts to specify who is certified to conduct teacher appraisals. Approval maintains the district’s compliance and ensures appraisals are conducted by personnel with the required certification.
Board action Trustees approved the list of T-TESS/T-PESS certified appraisers as presented. The motion included a second (Mary Anne), and the vote carried by voice.
Provenance: The certified-appraisers item appeared on the meeting agenda and was taken as a consent action during the information/action portion of the meeting.
