Historic Preservation Commission approves minutes, continues Hunt Ridge review and strikes Mission Linen item; staff outlines upcoming National Register and lab

The Las Vegas Historic Preservation Commission approved the minutes of its June 25, 2025, regular meeting, voted to continue a status report on the Hunt Ridge Theater to the commission’s Aug. 27 meeting and voted to remove a separate agenda item on the Mission Linen Building from the docket.

The actions were taken during a brief, largely procedural meeting that also included project updates from the Community Development Department and logistical information about the commission’s move to a new Civic Center meeting room.

Commissioner Costner moved to approve the minutes of the June 25, 2025, regular meeting; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The transcript does not record individual roll-call votes for that motion.

Commission staff said the applicant for agenda item 25-0265-HPC1 (a status report on the Hunt Ridge Theater at 1208 E. Charleston Boulevard in Ward 3) was not present and asked that the item be continued. The…
