Fresno County supervisors adopt all-way stop, approve child passenger safety grant

Fresno County Board of Supervisors on an unnamed agenda item adopted a resolution to install stop signs at the McKinley and Leonard Avenue intersection and approved a retroactive grant agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety to fund a child passenger safety program for the county public health department.

County staff said the department is pursuing several planning initiatives, designing projects and building infrastructure to enhance pedestrian safety. The retroactive grant agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety will allow the public health department to initiate a child passenger safety program that provides access to free car seats, child safety seat education and checkups.
