Board Policy 1.2 governs election of the president and vice president. The board used paper ballots prepared by staff; members marked, signed and passed ballots to an attendant (identified in the meeting as Altaizer), who read the votes aloud. The readback showed each board member voting for Fletcher as president and Woods as vice president; the board chair announced the results as unanimous.
The newly elected officers’ terms take effect Sept. 1. No challenges or procedural objections were raised during the vote reading. Board members congratulated Fletcher on his election and noted the formal change of offices will be effective at the start of the district’s new administrative term.
