The council also approved its agenda, which included the paving resolution and the trailer purchase, after a motion by the gentleman from District 1 and a second by the gentleman from District 5.
The council approved the purchase of a trailer for the street department for $4,000. The motion to buy the trailer was made by the gentleman from District 6 and seconded by the lady from District 4; the council approved the purchase by voice vote.
During the mayor’s report the mayor congratulated those who will serve in the next administration and answered brief questions about signatures and the Farmers Market pipe installation schedule. A councilmember noted Springville Night Out is scheduled for Sept. 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and asked whether the council wanted a tent or table at the event.
