The City of Tuscaloosa Zoning Board of Adjustments on Aug. 25 approved a special exception to allow a temporary modular office and restroom on the 2500 Greensboro Avenue property while a new office/warehouse is constructed.
Applicant John Markham of Markham Architects said the modular office will allow the owner to use the existing warehouse during construction; the anticipated timeline presented by staff was placement by Oct. 1, 2025, and removal by Aug. 15, 2026. The board approved the special exception with the staff condition that the temporary structure be removed by August 2026.
Why it matters: The temporary unit will let the business continue operations on site during construction of a permanent facility, with a clear removal date set by the board.
Ending: The board approved the exception with a removal deadline; staff and the applicant will coordinate placement and siting details before construction begins.
