Bluff planning commission updates general plan text; public hearing scheduled for Oct. 28

Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Amanda Podmore told commissioners Aug. 21 that she has been updating text for the Town of Bluff general plan and will coordinate mapping work with Erin (staff), who staff have contacted to assist with maps.
Podmore said the commission has a public hearing set for Oct. 28 and that the draft general plan and related ordinances need to be available “two weeks before” that hearing so the town and public have time to review. Marsha Haydenfeld asked about the project deadline and Podmore confirmed the Oct. 28 hearing date.
Commissioners did not take formal action on the general plan at the work session but directed staff to continue drafting text and to follow up with Erin on mapping. The commission identified the general plan and associated ordinance drafts as items to appear on upcoming agendas for additional review and for the town’s public hearing schedule.
Podmore said she will circulate schedule dates to commissioners and staff and reiterated the need to have draft ordinances and plan materials prepared in advance of the public hearing date.
