Quincy license board approves series of one‑day alcohol permits, new food licenses and a store transfer

The Quincy Board of License Commissioners unanimously approved a slate of special‑use and common‑victual licenses at its Aug. 12 meeting, granting one‑day liquor permits and temporary outdoor extensions for several local businesses, approving new food service licenses and authorizing a change of ownership for a package‑store and gas station license at 453 Washington Street.

The approvals allow Cubic Labs to serve beer and wine during a Sept. 9 event at Kilroy Square; temporary sidewalk or park extensions for Off the Hook Bar and Grill, Bridal Rock Brewing and Break Rock Brewing for scheduled seasonal events; common‑victual licenses for two new food establishments and one change‑of‑ownership retail food business; and the transfer of Neon Marketplace’s off‑premise wine and malt license and related gas‑station licenses to Cumberland Farms.

The board’s review was procedural for most items and focused on event logistics, hours and health and safety sign‑offs.
