City manager: Wheat Ridge Police Department reaccredited by CALEA

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — City Manager Goff told the City Council on Aug. 11 that the Wheat Ridge Police Department was successfully reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) following an assessment in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Goff said the reaccreditation requires the department to demonstrate continued compliance with hundreds of standards covering life, health and safety procedures. He congratulated department staff on the reaccreditation.
No formal council action was required or taken on the announcement.
