The Hermiston School District Board of Education entered executive session at the end of its Aug. 11 meeting "pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(d) to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations," the Chair announced.
The board stated there would be no action following the executive session and ended the public livestream. The meeting adjourned after the closed deliberations.
Because the session was exempt from public view under state law, no public record of the deliberations was made in the livestream; the board provided its statutory citation before recessing into the closed meeting.
