Insurance and workers' comp: Miss Hughes presented two insurance options from the district's broker and recommended switching to Berkeley for several coverages. She said the total premium for the year for the suite of coverages (general liability, law enforcement, school board liability, auto, property, crime, cyber and a new student-accident line) is about $1.78 million, which she described as roughly $175,000 lower than last year's coverage cost.
