The commission’s action preserves existing status: the petition remains tabled and will not be brought off the table before the petitioners supply the information the city requested.
Officials said the decision was procedural, intended to allow petitioners additional time to provide required materials rather than to deny the petition. The commission’s staff noted no other formal steps were ordered at the meeting.
Looking ahead, staff told the commission they will continue to try to reach the petitioners and will place the item on a future agenda if and when the petitioners supply the missing materials or request removal from the table.
