FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville City Council denied an appeal of a sewer assessment on Sept. 22 after the petitioner failed to appear for the hearing.
Staff requested denial of the appeal due to nonappearance; Councilmember Green moved to deny the appeal and the motion was seconded. The item was taken up without public testimony because the petitioner did not attend, and council voted to deny the appeal.
Staff noted no additional public comment or evidence was presented during the hearing. The denial is final subject to applicable appeal procedures in city code and state law.
