Council, RDA approve series of zoning, infrastructure and grant actions; one item tabled

On infrastructure and planning, the council approved an amendment to the Midvale Canal Trail design contract to expand final design work north and south along the Jordan & Salt Lake Canal, authorized participation in a Fashion Place West station‑area plan with the Wasatch Front Regional Council (no local match required), and awarded the 2025 sewer rehabilitation contract to Nolan & Son Construction. The Midvale Redevelopment Agency (RDA) approved two amendments to its loan programs—one for the Midvale Main business loan program and one for an adaptive reuse loan program—raising the minimum collateral coverage to 80% of requested loan amounts and tightening collateral categories. The RDA also approved a change order with Mountain States Lighting to add street lights on Main Street; staff reported the change order increases the contract by $117,800.
