Northumberland County Board of Elections ratifies municipal primary certifications, sets fall election dates

SUNBURY, Pa. — At a brief Board of Elections meeting held Aug. 5 in conjunction with the county commissioners’ session, the Northumberland County Board of Elections ratified certification reports from the 2025 municipal primary and approved post-election integrity documentation, county staff said.
The board ratified the 2025 municipal primary certification of election returns, the county certification of computation and final certification, a survey of polling place accessibility for elderly and disabled voters, an election integrity post-election report, and an election-integrity grant application.
Board members also announced election-related deadlines for the upcoming November election: Oct. 20, 2025 is the last day to register to be eligible to vote in the November election; Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. is the last day to apply for an absentee/mail-in ballot; and on Nov. 4, 2025 all absentee/mail-in ballots (except military and overseas ballots) must be received at the Northumberland County Board of Elections office no later than 8 p.m. Polls on Nov. 4 will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
