Committee members said the work included rebuilding overhangs and roof edges, power washing, shingling and removal of an illegally installed vestibule and ramp. The committee reviewed time slips and other backup before voting to authorize the payment.
A motion to approve the $87,305 progress payment was made and seconded; the committee approved the payment by voice vote with all members present voting aye.
Committee members said the repairs returned the building’s exterior closer to its original appearance and removed elements described in the meeting as an eyesore. The committee did not discuss additional change orders or outstanding punch-list items at length during the meeting.
The committee adjourned after the vote and confirmed scheduling for upcoming meetings and the joint presentation on the school project later this month.
