The Perkiomen Valley School District Board of School Directors approved a contract with Capstone Medical Services LLC to provide athletic trainer services replacing a 0.5 trainer position for the 2025–26 school year at a cost of $58,000.
Administrators told the board the district had been unable to fill the 0.5 position internally and that contracted services are needed for the upcoming season. Superintendent Doctor Russell said the administration is "considering requesting of the board a third athletic trainer, a full time position. Mister Felty believes that there is enough support of students needed that we would warrant that, but we're we're really gonna analyze the data." The administration said it will return with a formal recommendation after analyzing demand and costs.
The board also ratified Rothman Orthopedics to serve as football team physician at $200 per home game and approved other athletics-related items by voice vote.
