Perkiomen Valley board ratifies contracts, grants and staffing moves in routine vote

The Perkiomen Valley School District Board of School Directors approved a series of routine motions during its meeting, ratifying contractor payments, staffing contracts and a grant-funded outdoor reading project.
The board voted to release final payment of $9,623.82 to Center Stage Lighting and Rigging after approving an amendment that deleted strip lights from the materials list. The board approved Susan Packer, MD, as the district school physician for the 2025–26 school year.
The board ratified a $20,000 Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) grant to fund an outdoor hammock garden at Schwenksville Elementary and authorized the district to cover the remaining $1,088.27 from the Schwenksville building budget; the project’s total cost was listed as $21,088.27.
The board approved Rothman Orthopedics to provide team physician services for the 2025 football season at a rate of $200 per home high-school game and approved Capstone Medical Services LLC to provide athletic trainer services to replace a 0.5 trainer position for the 2025–26 school year at a cost of $58,000.
Other routine items approved by voice vote included restorative-practices program approval, consent-agenda items, payment of bills and personnel actions including resignations and release agreements. A proposed addendum to a memorandum of agreement (MOA) was tabled at the district’s request and will return to the board in September for action.
