The Sunset City Council on Aug. 5 approved a final payment of $21,500 to Cool Covers to complete the Bowery at Veterans Park.
Council member Smalling moved to approve the voucher; Council member Wrigley seconded. Council members Bartley, Ridley, Smalling and Thompson voted in favor. The motion passed.
Council discussion before the vote referenced the overall project cost. A council member earlier in the meeting said the total was $43,000 and confirmed that price included installation and delivery. The approved voucher was described in the motion as the “final payment” to Cool Covers; council members also noted the city had made an earlier down payment on the project.
The council did not attach additional conditions to the payment in the public minutes. Staff and council members thanked Cool Covers and city crews for completing the work and noted the Bowery is now installed and available for public use at Veterans Park.
A roll-call style vote recorded named “yes” responses from Council members Bartley, Ridley, Smalling and Thompson; the council chair called the question and the motion passed.
