The Manhattan‑Ogden USD 383 Board of Education on Aug. 6 ratified a tentative agreement with teachers and approved district wage adjustments for classified staff and administrators.
NEA Manhattan‑Ogden reported that roughly 57% of teachers participated in the ratification vote, which returned 312 yes votes and 23 no votes. Later in the meeting the board gave final approval to ratify the tentative 2025–26 agreement (board vote 5‑0).
At the same meeting the board also approved a classified employee wage schedule that increases pay by 3.13% for 2025–26; the increase is retroactive to July 7, 2025 and applies to employees who were employed before April 1, 2025 and who remain in the same position. Separately, the board approved a 2.75% increase for administrators, coordinators and managers, retroactive to July 1, 2025; those adjustments apply to personnel employed in the prior contract year who remain in the same position.
Board members and staff described the wage actions as part of ongoing efforts to maintain competitiveness and to address staffing challenges. During discussion, a board member noted that fuller state funding for special education would enable larger local compensation increases, and invited constituents to contact state legislators regarding statutory obligations for special education funding.
