At its Aug. 5 meeting the Austin Zoning and Planning Commission voted 7–1 to recommend that the City Council request a regulatory plan and a staff evaluation of real‑world fire safety across housing types for the area generally bounded by Capital of Texas Highway 360 on the east, the north shore of Lake Austin on the south, FM 620 on the west and Boulder Lane/Bull Creek on the north.
The commission’s action adopted language proposed in an addendum submitted by Commissioner Christian Sheppey.
