U.K. visitor and grandfather praises Riverdale School’s support for his grandson

He said Finn, adopted by Wright’s daughter in 2012, received a full individualized education plan (IEP) within about 10 weeks of entering Riverdale and that his support teacher, identified in the remarks as “Mrs. Evans,” had provided exceptional help.
Wright recounted that Finn is small for his age and has ADHD and that Riverdale’s staff helped him integrate into class activities, including taking part in a recent sports day where classmates publicly encouraged him. Wright said the quality of the school’s attention and inclusion influenced his daughter’s decision to live in Germantown when she worked at FedEx in Memphis.
The board thanked Wright and said it would share his remarks with the school district.
