Commissioners said the Aug. 11 session will be the final meeting to discuss the YMCA matter before the county—s submittal deadline, and that any formal vote to place a bond or other ballot language would occur at a regular commission meeting (not during the workshop). City Manager Ecker and other staff confirmed the county deadline and explained that absentee ballot preparations and printing timelines make the Aug. 12 submission date firm.
Commissioners also discussed scheduling for a broader infrastructure master plan and indicated that an infrastructure workshop could follow; commissioners asked staff to return with materials (stage two) for fuller discussion. One commissioner said the Aug. 11 meeting will include public comment and that the commission had previously pended the YMCA discussion on May 5.
