WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. — Nikisha Oliver, Wakulla County’s probation director, briefed county commissioners on Aug. 4 about the office’s caseload, local substance‑use trends and the services the probation office uses to connect defendants to treatment and community supports.
Oliver told the board the probation office currently supervises roughly 120 active cases and that staff have terminated about 160 cases since Jan. 1. She said the office has linked more than 100 clients with substance‑use treatment, mental‑health care, job services, education and community support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
