Accepted subdivision street into county maintenance: The board accepted Merefield Point Phase 1 (approximately 0.16 mile) in the Sugar Ridge Development subdivision into county maintenance following a recommendation from a county inspector. A motion was made and passed by voice vote.
Authorized attorney to execute litigation dismissal: Commissioners authorized Mark Cranley of Barnes & Thornburg to execute a stipulation of dismissal related to litigation involving a former hospital IT contract and a company identified in the meeting as Crane Ware. Staff summarized that the county had previously been removed from active litigation by a federal court injunction and that Saint Elizabeth and the other company reached a settlement that requires the county to execute a dismissal because county answers had included cross- and counterclaims. The motion to authorize Cranley to sign the stipulation carried.
Approved iWork service agreement: The board approved an additional service agreement with iWork as presented; commissioners said prior requested edits had been made. The motion carried.
Routine approvals: Commissioners approved claims, payroll, the Aug. 19 minutes and two health department grants (the president authorized to sign the grants). Each motion was carried by voice vote.
