Wilson County judicial commissioner wins approval to convert part-time position to full time and appoint Kyle Jacobs

Bueller identified the candidate as Kyle Jacobs, a part-time judicial employee who has worked approximately 24 hours per week since June and has met judges in the office. Commissioners said they planned the appointment to start Sept. 1 and suggested a one-year term for the new full-time position.

A motion to convert the part-time post to full time and to approve the accompanying budget amendment passed by voice vote; commissioners responded "Aye" and no opposing votes were recorded. The commission then moved to approve the specific appointment of Kyle Jacobs from part time to full time, with a one-year term starting Sept. 1; that motion also passed by voice vote.
