Whitestown Fire Department reports training, EMS revenue increase; ladder truck remains under warranty

At the Sept. 3 Whitestown Fire Board meeting, the fire chief delivered the department’s monthly report for August, covering public outreach events, personnel changes, training, inspections and EMS operations.
The chief said the department attended several community events in August including a Main Street Parks “Touch‑A‑Truck” and a Culver’s Heroes Night. He announced the promotion of former division chief of training Sam Schell to deputy chief of operations and said recruiting continues to fill the now‑vacant division chief of training role.
