The council approved the Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 meeting minutes on a motion by Council member Cox, seconded by Council member Steena; the council recorded a voice vote in favor.
The council approved payment of presented bills (including certain June invoices and the Aug. 25 invoices) on a motion by Council member Spencer, seconded by Council member Webb; the council recorded a voice vote in favor.
During the public-comment portion, members of the Livestock Booster Club (including students who identified themselves by name) requested a donation to help support participation in a Cedar show and offered to perform community service cleanup in return. The council moved to donate $1,000 to the Livestock Booster Club; the motion was made by a council member and seconded, and the council approved the donation by voice vote.
