Council members raise truck ordinances and West Belt corridor for future study

Council member Wood asked whether drivers are paid per load or per hour, suggesting the compensation model might influence speeds. The council asked staff for a presentation on the current status of the West Belt corridor after the city did not receive a grant related to that project.
Mayor and staff members reminded the council that the mayor controls agenda content per the city charter ordinance and asked council members to forward specific proposals to the mayor for consideration.
