Dinwiddie board introduces new high school principal and director of student support services

Dr. Weston, the district superintendent, introduced two administrators at the board meeting: Kimberly Bailey as the new principal at Dinwiddie High School and Robbie Garnes as the district's director of student support services.

"Miss Bailey is the new principal at Dinwiddie High School," Dr. Weston said, noting Bailey's education background including an associate degree from Richard Bland, a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master's degree from Central Michigan University. Dr. Weston said Bailey previously served as a special education teacher and assistant principal and has returned to the division after working for a neighboring district.

Dr. Weston also introduced Robbie Garnes as the new director of student support services. "Mister Garnes comes to us with a number of accolades," Dr. Weston said, describing Garnes's background as an English teacher, assistant principal and, most recently, six years leading Dinwiddie High School. Dr. Weston noted that Garnes earned a master's degree from Virginia Tech and is currently working on a doctorate.
