Cornwall-Lebanon launches two-year induction for new staff; Falcon Flex PD catalog open

The Cornwall-Lebanon School District reported Aug. 11 that 24 new staff members attended the first day of a two‑year induction program designed to orient new employees to district operations and community context.
"We're very excited to welcome them to the Cornwall Lebanon School District and help them understand what it means to be a Falcon," Doctor Rackley said while describing the induction schedule. He told the board the first day included Falcons Connect community outreach activities, a bus tour of district schools and a visit to Lebanon County Christian Ministries.
Doctor Rackley said the induction sequence includes four days in the first year that focus on technology, instructional supervision, safety and pupil services. He described Falcons Connect activities as an orientation to community partners and neighborhoods that serve district students.
Separately, the administration reviewed professional learning offerings. The Falcon Flex catalog opened in May with more than 300 sessions for staff and partners that included internal presenters, the district’s technology team, IU providers and external partners such as Edmentum. District presenters said roughly 70% of staff had already completed their professional learning requirements for 2025–26 before the school year begins.
Administrators said these professional development and induction efforts link to the district’s comprehensive plan and are intended to improve classroom practice and newcomer retention rather than to change district policy.
