Commission tables AutoNation site plan for State Road 7 auction after resident concerns

The package included a site-plan amendment to add a 7,267-square-foot auction house and a 7,858-square-foot detailing/car-wash building, drainage and landscaping upgrades, and five sign-waiver requests. The vote to table the package was unanimous and moved the items to the Sept. 9 commission meeting for further community outreach and review.
The planning division and the applicant described the project as a site upgrade intended to bring the property up to current engineering, drainage and site-plan standards.
