Board ratifies Aspen‑Pitkin County Housing Authority strategic plan for 2025–2030

Pitkin County commissioners ratified an intergovernmental requirement that the Aspen‑Pitkin County Housing Authority (APHA) 2025–2030 strategic plan be approved by both the City of Aspen and the county.
Ashley Pearl, the county’s housing and resiliency director, said the plan had been through public outreach and that APHA had begun implementation of some items. Matthew Gillen, APHA’s executive director, told the board the process was inclusive and reflects priorities of both the city and the county.
The board had previously discussed the plan at a retreat and earlier meetings; commissioners complimented the document’s concision and said it should be understandable to the public. A motion to ratify the plan carried without objection.
