STOUGHTON, Mass. — The Stoughton School Committee convened a special professional-development meeting July 22 to begin establishing agreed operating norms and a committee goal, bringing in facilitator Paul Zinni of John Guilfoyle Public Relations to lead the session and plan a follow-up on Aug. 22.
Committee Chair Chris Shannon opened the meeting and said the session aimed to help the committee “set goals for the year” and to determine how it will assess progress. Paul Zinni, a retired public-school administrator who now leads training and crisis work for John Guilfoyle Public Relations, guided members through exercises and a facilitated discussion intended to produce a short list of norms the committee can adopt.
The committee is seeking a working set of norms so meetings run more smoothly and so members “are on the same page”…
