Riverton High teachers report successful Costa Rica EF tour with students

Riverton High School teachers Chad Fallon and Kylie Frazier updated the Fremont County School District #25 board about an EF Tours trip to Costa Rica that included 15 students and eight adults.
Fallon, who said this was his fifth trip leading students to Costa Rica, thanked the district for providing transportation and described how the trip reinforced classroom learning: "they loved it because, you know, when it rains here, they go out and play in the rain. But there, nice warm rain outside..." Fallon noted students used Spanish informally and experienced ecosystems discussed in class including the Central Valley, La Fortuna tropical lowland, cloud forest at about 5,000 feet, and the South Pacific Coast.
Kylie Frazier said the trip showcased students’ biology knowledge and social growth: "it was amazing to see that love be transferred into the students and be able to see it on display." Both presenters described the experience as formative and thanked the board for supporting the trip.
Ending Board members praised the trip and recounted personal family experiences with prior tours; no formal action was taken on the presentation.
