Council members discussed the timing and technical status of work at the site during a 20-minute exchange in which planning staff and public works staff emphasized that approval tonight does not allow sales or city acceptance until required improvements are finished and accepted.
Planning staff member Adam said the process begins with a preliminary plat — approved here more than three years ago — and noted the final plat is a verification that what the developer is building substantially conforms to the preliminary plat. “This is the final plat approval for Kirkland Crossing,” Adam said.
